Creative Lab with Becky Naumgauds
Becky Namgaud
The first half of the workshop will use yoga and light conditioning to warm up and safely build confidence to take risks. While developing our physicality, we will explore musicality and qualities at different levels to build a strong base in solo exploration.
After a break, the second half will focus on creative tasks that have developed from Becky’s most recent R&D. Tasks will be based on physical expression and qualities of the body, sometimes with theatrical elements. We will explore them individually or as a collective. This week aims to give participants a chance to spend developing their performance and physical skills but also to spend time focusing on integrity of movement ideas.
Before closing the workshop each day we will take time for a cooldown and a general discussion.
The workshop aims to be an inclusive and respectful space and acknowledges the wealth of experience that each participant brings.
